What information about guests do we collect?
During registration the user is required to supply a email address, password, name.
We will never request your password or other personal information through email. This practice, called "phishing", is a scam designed to steal your personal information. If you receive an email that looks like it is from us asking you for your personal information, do not respond.
What are "Cookies" and how do we use them?
Cookies are alphanumeric identifiers that we transfer to your computer's hard drive through your web browser.
WishList Plus uses cookies to maintain a user's identity between sessions and between requests so that the site can be personalized to display their particular wishlists and friends. Users can not create accounts with WishList Plus unless cookies are enabled in their browser.
Does our website share information it receives?
WishList Plus does not share the information provided by the users with other sources. Site analytics are provided by Google Analytics and do not include any of the WishList Plus account information. IP addresses that are used for internal purposes are not linked to any personally identifiable information.
E-Mails
WishList Plus requires a valid email address during registration. This email address is necessary to validate the account initially and to aid in forgotten passwords.
WishList Plus does not send registered users any form of unsolicited emails. If WishList Plus adds such emails in the future, the user will be required to opt-into the lists.
WishList Plus will never share email addresses or any personal information with outside organizations for any reason.
Users that have accounts with WishList Plus can send email invitations to other people (family and friends). These unsolicited emails include an unsubscribe link allowing the recipient to opt-out of any future invitation requests from any user of WishList Plus.
Links to other websites
WishList Plus provides links to other websites that contain the source of the wishlist items. These links are added by other users, and not by Wishlist Plus. It is the intent of the service that these links go to the store offers that represent the items. However, WishList Plus does not administer or moderate the wishlists or the items that users add to them.
Links to some stores may be redirected through affiliate management servers, or be modified with codes that inform the store where the referral is from. Neither of these cases include any of the personal account information provided to WishList Plus.
Children
We recognize the particular importance of protecting privacy where children are involved. We are committed to protecting children's privacy on the Internet and we comply fully with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13. If a child has provided our website with personally identifiable information, we ask that a parent or guardian contact us us and we will delete the information about the child from our system.
